Scripture Reference: Ephesians 2:8

For it is by grace you have been saved, through faith–and this is not from yourselves, it is the gift of God–

Scripture Reference: John 14 (NIV)

14 “Do not let your hearts be troubled. You believe in God[a]; believe also in me. My Father’s house has many rooms; if that were not so, would I have told you that I am going there to prepare a place for you? And if I go and prepare a place for you, I will come back and take you to be with me that you also may be where I am. You know the way to the place where I am going.”

Scripture Reference: John 14:5-7, Theme: Jesus the Way to the Father

Thomas said to him, “Lord, we don’t know where you are going, so how can we know the way?”Jesus answered, “I am the way and the truth and the life. No one comes to the Father except through me. If you really know me, you will know[b] my Father as well. From now on, you do know him and have seen him.”

Sometimes  preachers and other Christians  make salvation more difficult to understand than it really is. We use words like “saved“, “blood bought“; “blood washed“; “born again“; “redeemed.”  These are all good words and phrases, but they can be overwhelming and confusing to those who do not know what they mean. Yet, there is nothing confusing, mysterious or hard to understand about salvation. God has fixed it so that anyone can understand it! I want you to know that it is possible to be saved physically, financially, emotionally, mentally, etc. However, the salvation I am referring to relates to your spiritual SALVATION. Any other type of salvation is only temporary in nature. Yet, when a person experiences the salvation of his or her soul, the person has experienced something eternal that can never fade or be taken away.

(Body: )

Salvation is the deliverance from sin and its consequences, which is eternal death.

Before you can carry your cross and follow Jesus, you must be saved!

  • What are we saved from? We are saved from “Wrath” that is, from God’s judgment on sin (Romans 5:12-21; Romans 9:1; 1Thessalonians 5:9-11.) We need to know that our sins separated us from God, and the consequences of sin is death (Romans 6:23).

Salvation refers to our deliverance from consequences of sin and therefore involves the removal of sin. By way of the removal of our sins, we are set up for eternity with Christ and God, the Father.

  • Who does the Saving?

Only God can save, remove and deliver us from sins when we believe in His Son, Jesus Christ! (2nd Timothy 1 v 9; Titus 3:5).

There are two ways that a human heart can seek salvation. The first way is man’s way and the second, is God’s wayMan’s way is: by self-merit, by self-righteousness, by his own achievement of goodness, and character, and reputation.

How does God save?

  • God has rescued us through Christ (John 3:17). Specifically, it was Jesus’ death on the cross and subsequent resurrection that achieved our salvation (Romans 5:10;Ephesians 1:7).
  • Scripture is clear that salvation is the gracious, undeserved gift of God (Ephesians 2:5,8) and is only available through faith in Jesus Christ (Acts 4:12).

Jesus  is the Only Way to God  John 14 v 6

Jesus answered, “I am the way and the truth and the life. No one comes to the Father except through me.

(A). John 14 v 6 is crystal clear! There is no doubt that God says that salvation can only be found in Jesus! Sister/Brothers, there is only one road to Heaven, there is only one Remedy for sin, there is but One Way to escape from Hell, and that is through God’s plan of salvation through Jesus Christ.

(B). Salvation does not come through the church, the baptistery, the denomination, or through family associations. Salvation comes only through God’s plan for redeeming man through Jesus Christ.

(C). Salvation cannot be obtained through good deeds and clean living. It comes only through God’s plan of salvation through Jesus Christ.

(D). What is that plan that God provided?  God’s plan is an exclusive plan, John 14:6 above clearly lets us know that Jesus Christ is the Only Avenue that man can take, that will bring him to God. My Brothers and Sisters reading this note, no one goes to Heaven, because they are a Baptist, Pentecostal or Catholic. They do not get to go heaven, because they have done good things or, because they have been a good person. A person goes to Heaven due to the fact that he or she has a personal relationship with the Lord Jesus Christ.

(F). God will not share the salvation of souls with any preacher, Pope, denomination, sacrament or anything else we can name. Salvation comes through Jesus Christ and Jesus alone, Acts 4:12!

(G). I want you to know for sure that your going to Heaven! This may Not be, because you attend church. Not because you have been baptized. Not because you pay your tithes. Not because you try to live right. All of those things are good and every saved person ought to do them, but those things cannot save the soul. No, one can go to heaven until you come to the place where you looked to no one or nothing but to Jesus Christ alone. One thing and one thing alone was required from me and you, to be saved – that thing is to look to Jesus to save your soul!

(III) How do you receive salvation?

Know that We are saved by grace through faith. First, you must hear the gospel—the good news of Jesus’ death and resurrection (Ephesians 1:13). Then, 2ndly you must believe—fully trust the Lord Jesus (Romans 1:16). This involves repentance, a changing of mind about sin and Christ (Acts 3:19), and 3 RDLY you should call on the name of the Lord (Romans 10:9-1013).
If you say Yes, today I am deciding to follow Jesus. I want to carry my cross and follow HimPlease pray the sinner’s prayer with me.

The Sinners Prayer is a prayer of repentance, prayed by individuals who feel convicted of the presence of sin in their lives and desire to form or renew a personal relationship with God through Jesus Christ. This means that you as a sinner have recognized the need to repent and the need to have a relationship with God through Jesus Christ. You want your name to be written in the Book of life and be ready to stand in the Righteousness of Christ and Christ alone in the Day of Judgment.

“Father, I know that I have broken your laws and my sins have separated me from you. I am truly sorry, and now I want to turn away from my past sinful life toward you. Please forgive me, and help me avoid sinning again. I believe that your son, Jesus Christ died for my sins, was resurrected from the dead, is alive, and hears my prayer. I invite Jesus to become the Lord of my life, to rule and reign in my heart from this day forward. Please send your Holy Spirit to help me obey You, and to do Your will for the rest of my life. In Jesus’ name I pray, Amen.”

Brother/ Sister, if you have prayed this prayer, you are saved for eternity and your name has been written in the Book of Life. The Holy Spirit of God is in you, you belong to Jesus and now you can carry your cross and start following Him!

Welcome into the kingdom of God!

The heavens are rejoicing over you right now, because the devil has just lost one soul.
